To celebrate five decades of brotherhood, sisterhood, and shared purpose, the Upsilon Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sigma Delta Phi Sorority Batch ’76 came together for a meaningful milestone project: a large-scale medical mission in partnership with SM Foundation, Inc.
Held at SM City Fairview, the mission aimed to serve more than 1,000 patients from underserved families in Fairview and nearby communities. Beneficiaries received free medical consultations, basic laboratory tests, dental services, medicines, and health education, ensuring that quality healthcare reached those who needed it most. For many residents, the mission represented not only access to treatment but also reassurance that their well-being mattered.
More than a healthcare outreach, the initiative was a heartfelt expression of gratitude and service as Batch ’76 from both organizations marked their 50th anniversary. Brothers and sisters from the medical and allied health professions, together with non-medical volunteers, traveled from across the Philippines and even from overseas to lend their expertise. Their willingness to give their time, skills, and compassion reflected a shared belief that service is a lifelong commitment.
Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, logisticians, and support teams worked hand in hand, transforming the venue into a space of healing and hope. Every consultation completed, every prescription filled, and every smile demonstrated genuine care for communities with limited access to medical services.
This mission embodied the enduring spirit of Upsilon and Sigma Delta Phi—service beyond self. What began as campus camaraderie grew into a lifelong brotherhood and sisterhood united by purpose and compassion. Through this partnership with SM Foundation, the Golden Anniversary became more than a celebration of history; it stood as a living testament that the strongest legacies are built through action.
After fifty years, the message remained clear: serve, uplift, and care for others—together.
